This is my fifth year teaching physical science at Northview Middle School. While I've held many interesting positions,
teaching is definitely my favorite. I've done everything from working with at-risk youth to training dolphins at the Indianapolis
Zoo.
My educational background is quite diverse. I earned my B.S. degree in psychology from Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!).
Later, I returned to school and earned my M.A.T. in science education from the University of Iowa. I've continued my professional
development through Drake University.
I am married, and my husband Shawn and I had our first baby, a little girl named Anna, last Feb. She has changed and
enriched our lives in so many ways.
Shawn and I also have a house full of critters, including a yellow lab and 2 cats. In my free time, I enjoy reading,
listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
